Usha Vance Finally Responds To Wedding Ring Uproar
"a mother of three young children, who does a lot of dishes, gives lots of baths, and forgets her ring sometimes."
"Do I hope eventually that she is somehow moved by the same thing that I was moved in by church? Yes, I honestly do wish that, because I believe in the Christian Gospel, and I hope eventually my wife comes to see it the same way. But if she doesn't, then God says everybody has free will, and so that doesn't cause a problem for me."
Usha Vance visited U.S. Marines in North Carolina without a wedding ring after photos showed her left hand without one. A spokesperson explained that Vance, as a mother of three young children, often does dishes and gives baths and sometimes forgets her ring. The explanation drew skepticism from some observers but was presented as the reason. Rumors about the couple's relationship surfaced after a reportedly intimate hug with Charlie Kirk's widow and earlier comments by the vice president expressing hope that his Hindu wife might one day embrace the Christian Gospel. The Vances met at Yale Law School, married in 2014, and have children ages three to eight.
