President Donald Trump announced the action on his Truth Social network, saying the strikes were powerful, deadly and executed by the Department of War with perfect precision. He warned that terrorists would face severe consequences if they did not stop slaughtering Christians and vowed the country would not allow radical Islamic terrorism to prosper. A U.S. Department of Defense official said the United States worked with Nigeria to conduct the operation.
