"Dear Jonas: Considering your Country [sic] decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS [sic], I long longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace [sic], although it will always be predominant, but can now think about what is good and proper for the United States of America,"
"Denmark cannot protect that land from Russia or China, and why do they have a 'right of ownership' anyway?"
"There are no written documents, it's only that a boat landed there"
US President Donald Trump sent a message to Norway's Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store saying he no longer feels obliged "to think purely of peace" after not receiving the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize. The US administration shared the message widely with other nations and the media. Trump reiterated demands for "Complete and Total Control" of Greenland despite Greenland not being part of Norway and despite Oslo's past contest with Denmark. He claimed to have stopped eight wars, citing a Gaza cease-fire that remains fragile with hundreds killed since. Most other cited conflicts were short, unresolved, or nonviolent and which additional "wars" he meant is unclear.
