The administration has not committed to requesting a Supreme Court rehearing, despite Trump's public statements expressing frustration with the ruling. Trump argued that companies and countries that allegedly benefited unfairly from previous trade practices should not receive refunds as a result of what he characterized as a disappointing decision. Since the Supreme Court's ruling, numerous companies have filed lawsuits seeking tariff refunds, joining hundreds of existing cases that had been filed in anticipation of this outcome.
