"Too many Americans are afraid of what their own government is doing to them, instead of being confident in what it can do for them,"
"That's why I'm running for Congress."
"turn the page on chaos, vengeance, and attacks on personal freedom."
"on a platform that is about identity"
Bree Fram, a retired astronautical engineer and former Space Force colonel, announced a run for a Virginia U.S. House seat. Fram raised more than $102,000 from at least 400 donors across 46 states within 24 hours of a 24-hour fundraising drive. Fram was removed from active duty in June 2025 under the U.S. ban on transgender military personnel and is believed to be the highest-ranking trans officer fired under the executive order. Fram served 23 years with deployments to Iraq and Qatar, came out as transgender in 2016, and became the first trans woman to reach the rank of Colonel. Fram said she is not running on a platform centered on identity and thanked donors for helping to "turn the page on chaos, vengeance, and attacks on personal freedom."
