In New York State, Schumer retains a net positive favorability among Democrats, but that advantage is a modest 16-point margin. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez runs substantially ahead of Schumer among New York Democrats in polling. If Ocasio-Cortez challenges Schumer in 2028, current numbers indicate she would have a significant advantage to defeat him.
