Remains of man missing for six years found in reservoir
"From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging."
"The remains of a man who went missing six years ago have been found. Jordan Moray went missing from his home in Cwmbach, Aberdare, in Rhondda Cynon Taf, in July 2019, with his mobile phone left on charge and games console still running. South Wales Police received a report of human remains in a remote area near the Llwyn-onn Reservoir in Bannau Brycheiniog National Park, formerly known as the Brecon Beacons, on August 29."
The Independent emphasizes on-the-ground reporting across issues such as reproductive rights, climate change and Big Tech and solicits donations to fund reporters. The outlet cites investigations like the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC and a documentary called 'The A Word' about American women fighting for reproductive rights. The organization states it avoids paywalls to make quality journalism available to everyone and asks those who can afford it to provide support. South Wales Police located human remains near Llwyn-onn Reservoir on August 29 and confirmed the remains belong to Jordan Moray, who disappeared in July 2019. Moray was last seen at his Cwmbach, Aberdare home with his mobile phone charging and his games console still running, and his disappearance prompted a large search; police say his death is not being treated as suspicious.
