NOT TRUE': Pam Bondi Denies Blaming Blanche for Epstein Files Bungle in Closed-Door Hearing

Pam Bondi denied claims that she pushed blame onto Acting AG Todd Blanche regarding the Justice Department’s handling of Jeffrey Epstein-related documents. The denial followed on-camera accusations by Rep. Robert Garcia, who said Bondi attributed the investigation’s leadership and mistakes, including redactions and failures to protect survivors, to Blanche. Bondi posted on X that the accusations were not true and stated she praised Blanche’s management of a “Herculean task,” adding that his ethics were beyond reproach. Garcia responded again, asserting Bondi deflected responsibility to Blanche multiple times and suggesting that the House Oversight Committee chair should have videotaped the exchange.

Garcia, the ranking member on the House Oversight Committee, said to reporters: It is clear, in just this part of the of the interview, that she continues to push all of the investigation and the blame on acting AG Todd Blanche."
