A deputy and two Secret Service agents confronted him; he dropped the gas can, raised the shotgun into a shooting position, and the officers fired, killing him at the scene. No law enforcement personnel were injured. The FBI is leading an active investigation and has asked nearby residents to check exterior cameras for footage from late night and early morning and to report any suspicious activity. The President of the United States was not at Mar-a-Lago during the breach.
