"Then, last June, French asked his X followers to vote on the "bigger threat to America": Jews or Muslims. It had apparently been fine when the chairman was insulting women, immigrants, Muslims, and Black people, or variants thereof. But for Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick and other Republicans, this was the one bigotry (antisemitism) they couldn't appear to abide. It was time for Bo to go. Patrick called for French's resignation, writing on X, "antisemitism and religious bigotry have no place in Texas." Eight minutes before Patrick's post, French posted on X to apologize, writing that "some people clearly misunderstood the intent" of the poll, which he deleted. "Antisemitism has no place in the Republican Party, and if you disagree with me, get out," he wrote."
"most of French's online "messaging" has little to do with pipeline safety or gas flaring or any other matter that keeps the petrodollars flowing. If anything, his rhetoric on X has grown even darker. French has recently been flagged for violating rules against violent speech-quite an accomplishment on Elon Musk's platform-in tweets calling to "hang repeat violent offenders" and "remove third world subtards" from the country."
Bo French, a former Tarrant County Republican chairman and candidate for the Texas Railroad Commission, solicited an X poll asking whether Jews or Muslims were the "bigger threat to America." Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick called for French's resignation and condemned antisemitism and religious bigotry. French apologized, saying some people misunderstood the intent and later asserted antisemitism has no place in the Republican Party. French's online messaging has included violent language and racist slurs, has been flagged for policy violations, and has little to do with regulatory topics like pipeline safety or gas flaring.
