Eastchester in southern Westchester County remains a Republican enclave with GOP officials holding every local government seat. Town leaders credit a pro-police philosophy, low taxes, and rejection of "wokeism" for preserving conservative local control. Supervisor Anthony Colavita has led the town for 22 years and and his board ran unopposed this cycle, with no Democratic challengers. Democrats outnumber Republicans countywide by more than two-to-one and non-affiliated voters now exceed GOP membership, yet Eastchester stayed red even after Democrats surpassed Republicans within its borders five years ago. The town includes the villages of Tuckahoe and Bronxville.
