Buttigieg served in the Biden cabinet, came out in 2015, married his husband Chasten in 2018, and they have two children. Buttigieg responded to Carlson's remarks during a live conversation with Kara Swisher at the University of Michigan by refusing to engage, joking that he could not think of a topic he would like to discuss less with Carlson and calling the accusation a sign of progress that the conspiracy is he is secretly straight.
