Pete Hegseth testified before a Senate Appropriations Subcommittee about the war in Iran and the Department of Defense’s 2027 budget request. During his opening statement, a woman stood up behind him and shouted accusations that approving the budget would make officials complicit in war crimes. Security approached her while Hegseth stopped reading and continued facing forward without turning around. She was escorted out of the chamber.
