""Our prayers were answered in getting us a new president and taking a different direction in our country than we had seen for the previous four years," he continued. "Apostasy, blasphemy, taking our children down the path of homosexuality and perversion. Open borders. Criminals running rampant in our streets.""
""Lord, we have new leadership, and we thank you for that. But Lord, we know that government is not going to save our country. It's going to be the American people returning to the path that you have set out for us and our Founding Fathers.""
""Lord, we beseeched thee,""
Rep. Brian Babin prayed at the Family Research Council's National Gathering for Prayer and Repentance at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C., on February 4. He thanked God for a new president and said that prayers were answered by a different national direction than the previous four years, naming apostasy, blasphemy, children being led toward homosexuality and perversion, open borders, and criminals running rampant. Babin said government will not save the country and called for Americans to return to the path set out by God and the Founding Fathers. Babin has repeatedly scored 0 on the Human Rights Campaign Congressional Scorecard and helped introduce a 2022 bill to ban public institutions from hosting or promoting sexually-oriented material.
