Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill announced an arrest warrant for Dr. Remy Coeytaux, alleging he mailed abortion pills to a Louisiana woman who ordered them online after learning she was pregnant in 2023. Murrill said she will sue California and New York over refusals to extradite providers charged with Criminal Abortion by Means of Abortion-Inducing Drugs, invoking the Extradition Clause and Full Faith and Credit Clause. California Governor Gavin Newsom denied Louisiana's extradition request and responded sharply on social media.
