"California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) skewered President Donald Trump for using ICE and Border Patrol agents to deport illegal immigrants, saying it has done nothing more than cause terror on the streets of major cities like Los Angeles. Newsom, during an appearance on the All the Smoke podcast with ex-NBA players Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson on Saturday, was asked by Barnes how the nation can recover from Trump's illegal immigration crackdown."
"Illegal immigrants, Newsom claimed, are now afraid to walk their dogs and go to funerals, among other disruptions, because ICE agents are on patrol. ICE agents, Newsom added, are disappearing [people] on the basis of the color of their skin. Those agents, he continued, are haphazardly throwing American citizens, tourists, and some people here with documentation, some without into unmarked vans."
ICE and Border Patrol agents are being used to deport illegal immigrants, causing terror in major cities such as Los Angeles. Illegal immigrants are now afraid to walk their dogs, attend funerals, or go about daily life because of ICE patrols. ICE agents are accused of disappearing people on the basis of skin color and of haphazardly detaining American citizens, tourists, and documented and undocumented residents in unmarked vans. Workplace arrests have left children terrified when parents vanish. A bill banning law enforcement officials from wearing masks was signed, and a lawsuit was filed over the deployment of hundreds of National Guard troops to Oregon.
