Greg Barbaccia was named acting director of the General Services Administration's Technology Transformation Services and will also serve as senior advisor to the GSA administrator. Thomas Shedd will remain at GSA and transition to a new role as senior advisor for fraud prevention after serving as TTS director and deputy Federal Acquisition Service commissioner since January 2025. Barbaccia already serves as the federal chief information officer, federal chief AI officer, and the government's service delivery lead under the Government Service Delivery Improvement Act. In the new role, Barbaccia will oversee Login.gov and FedRAMP, emphasize emerging technologies, improve digital service delivery and cross-government collaboration, and support GSA's acquisition, real estate, and technology services mission.
