"Mr. Trump's deliberate use of a frivolous lawsuit for an improper purpose constitutes bad faith,"
"And the behavior is not unique, but part of a plan, or at least a playbook."
"President Trump will continue to pursue this matter to its just and rightful conclusion,"
A district court judge dismissed President Trump’s 2022 lawsuit against Hillary Clinton and others, deeming it frivolous and filed in bad faith. A three-judge appeals panel ruled the lower court did not abuse its discretion in imposing sanctions on Trump, attorney Alina Habba, and her law firm. Chief Judge William Pryor Jr. authored the 36-page opinion, joined by Andrew Brasher and Embry Kidd. The district judge previously described the complaint as a two-hundred-page political manifesto and ordered Trump, Habba, and her firm to pay $937,989 in sanctions.
