"I can't believe I'm saying this, but where does QAnon go for the apology? You know, QAnon, which believes in lots of really ridiculous things like, you know, Democrats eating babies, but they were kind of harping a lot on the idea that the elites are running this pedophile ring. And I made jokes about them. I also made jokes after the Epstein thing happened originally that were on the idea of, well, you know, obviously, there was some smoke there."
"The Real Time host joked he was more guarded when he would buy pot when it was illegal than Epstein and others are speaking about their perversions. They're just openly talking about in emails this sort of, you know, sexual perversion that they were all doing. And lots of people who you didn't think or I never imagined were doing it, I see these names come up, he said."
Bill Maher admitted he may owe QAnon an apology after Department of Justice documents related to Jeffrey Epstein included photos and communications suggesting elite involvement in sexual wrongdoing. The released files named figures including Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, and Donald Trump in varying contexts. Maher acknowledged previously mocking QAnon's broad, baseless claims but noted that records show more than the 'smoke' he had joked about. Maher contrasted how openly incriminating emails and messages reveal sexual perversions among associates of Epstein. He called QAnon partly right about elites running a pedophile ring while still rejecting other conspiratorial claims.
