Anti-Abortion Slenderman Throws Fit (Again)
"I just think that FDA is not serious about it. I don't think that they're proceeding with any sense of urgency whatsoever. If they're really proceeding at all. I frankly can't tell."
""lack of progress" on the "dangerous drugs" is "disappointing.""
"approximately take a year or more to conduct."
Sen. Josh Hawley criticized the FDA's re-review of the abortion pill mifepristone during a closed-door briefing, calling the safety study a dead end and questioning agency urgency. Sen. Bill Cassidy and other GOP senators expressed similar frustration, calling the lack of progress on what they labeled dangerous drugs disappointing and saying the study is moving too slowly. Hawley said he lacks confidence the review will amount to anything and suggested Congress may need to intervene. HHS responded that the FDA is taking care to conduct the study properly and noted such reviews approximately take a year or more to conduct. Hawley previously sent a public letter in December pressing the FDA.
