The feature showed that multiple high‑follower MAGA and right‑wing accounts were listed as created or based outside the United States, including accounts tied to Eastern Europe, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Nigeria. X later removed some location data and X’s head of product, Nikita Bier, acknowledged the data were "not 100%" and posted "I need a drink." Several accounts were removed or suspended after the rollout, and left‑leaning users highlighted and shared the foreign location revelations.
