"Daisy Pantoja Beltran, Aragon basketball: The senior scored 15 points and added five rebounds, three assists, two blocks and six steals as Aragon beat San Mateo 51-44. In a 43-40 loss to Half Moon Bay, she had 15 points, 10 rebounds, an assist and a steal. Ugreat Daniels, Priory basketball: Daniels led the way for Priory on both ends of the floor with 19 points, 13 rebounds and two blocks as the Panthers beat Pinewood 40-39."

Polls close at 5 p.m. Wednesday, and votes by email or after that deadline are not counted. Voters may cast unlimited votes but may not use bots or other artificial methods. Winners are announced each Friday online and in the print Mercury News and East Bay Times sports sections. Nominations are accepted at highschools@bayareanewsgroup.com until 11 a.m. each Monday, and submitted stats from coaches and team statisticians are reviewed. Nominees include top performers from multiple Bay Area schools.
