"BRENTWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Famed director Rob Reiner and his wife Michele Singer were found stabbed to death inside their Brentwood home on Sunday and their son is the suspect in the double murder. Nick Reiner, 32, was taken into custody on Sunday night and is being held without bail, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Here's a timeline of the fatal stabbings and Nick Reiner's arrest:"

"Saturday, Dec. 13Rob and Nick Reiner got into an argument Saturday night at a holiday party, sources told ABC News. At the party, Nick was seen acting strangely. Sunday, Dec. 14, 3:38 p.m.Firefighters responded to a medical aid call at a home in the 250 block of Chadbourne Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. The deceased were initially identified only as a man and woman ages 78 and 68 years old, the fire department said."

"Sunday, Dec. 14, 9:15 p.m.Sources tell ABC News that the LAPD was able to find Nick Reiner and take him into custody near the University of Southern California as a suspect in the double murder. According to law enforcement sources, Nick was not at home when his parents were found dead. Investigators believe he left at some point after the stabbings. Monday, Dec. 15, 5 a.m.Nick was booked on the murder charges Monday at around 5:04 a.m."

Saturday night featured an argument between Rob and Nick at a holiday party where Nick was seen acting strangely. Firefighters responded Sunday afternoon to a medical aid call at the Chadbourne Avenue residence. The couple's daughter found the bodies. Investigators believe Nick was not at home when the parents were discovered and that he left after the stabbings. Nick was booked Monday morning and moved to Twin Towers Correctional Facility.
