Beyond top-notch skiing, Aspen features indoor and outdoor ice skating rinks and a festive four-day Wintersköl event complete with torchlight descents on Aspen Mountain, live music, bonfires, fireworks, and snow sculptures."

Aspen ranks second, receiving about 43 inches of December snow, an 80 percent Christmas snow chance, skiing, ice skating, and Wintersköl festivities.
