No injuries had been reported as of 2:45 p.m. The incident started about 10:20 a.m. Monday when officers responded to the 2800 block of Summit Street to investigate reports of shots fired that were recorded on a gunshot detection alert system, police said."
"When officers arrived, they attempted to contact an individual who may have barricaded themselves inside an apartment building unit with a firearm, police said. Officers evacuated some residents and shut down streets in the area while they attempted to communicate with the individual. As of 2:35 p.m. the standoff was continuing. Police were asking people to stay out of the area."
