Rob and Michele Reiner were found dead in their Los Angeles home on 14 December; police are treating the incident as a homicide. The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office charged their son, Nick Reiner, 32, with two counts of first-degree murder and a special allegation for allegedly using a knife. There is no evidence supporting the transition claim. Nick is being held without bail. Rob Reiner was a Democrat and activist who advocated LGBTQ+ rights.
