"We are aware of antisemitic posts that were made outside of school by some of our students in our school district. We are treating this matter with the utmost seriousness and taking immediate, comprehensive, and decisive action," she said in a statement."
Four Manalapan High School students posted antisemitic messages on Snapchat that were shared on Instagram, including threats to "kill every last" Jew and references to gas chambers. Messages included statements about vaping "the gas from the holocaust," plans to dress as Adolf Hitler and Holocaust victims for Halloween, and other slurs. Screenshots circulated online and provoked condemnation from local officials. Freehold Regional High School District Superintendent Nicole Hazel said the incidents are under investigation, that law enforcement was contacted, and that antisemitism and hate have no place in schools.
