Hochman emphasized that charges are not evidence and that evidence is something we will be presenting in a court of law to meet the standard of proof we meet at every criminal case, which is beyond a reasonable doubt."
Nick Reiner, 32, has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder and a special circumstance of multiple murders, plus an allegation for use of a knife in the killings of his parents, Rob and Michele Singer Reiner. Los Angeles police found the couple dead in their Brentwood home on Dec. 14 and identified their deaths as homicide. Authorities located and arrested their younger son the same evening. He remains in custody without bail and is expected to appear in court after medical clearance. The Los Angeles district attorney emphasized that charges are not evidence and said evidence will be presented in court.
