Mississippi man charged with six murders, including father, brother and a child
"Authorities in Clay county, Mississippi, say a man has been taken into custody and charged with first-degree murder following the fatal shootings of six people, including a child, on Friday night. Daricka Moore, 24, is accused of killing multiple relatives as well as a local pastor before his arrest, according to Clay county sheriff Eddie Scott, who addressed the case during a Saturday news conference."
"Sheriff Scott said investigators believe Moore first shot his father, brother and uncle Friday evening. Afterward, Moore allegedly took a truck and drove to another location, where authorities say he attempted to sexually assault a seven-year-old girl who was related to him before shooting her as well. Scott said that in his 30 years of service, this case marked one of the toughest ones we had to work."
"Officials said the initial shooting occurred shortly before 7pm at a residence on David Hill Road. The victims there were identified as Glen Moore, 67; Willie Guines, 55; and Quinton Moore, 33. A call to emergency services led officials to a home on Blake Road where Moore allegedly forced his way in and attempted to commit a sexual battery while armed, Scott said. Deputies later found the body of the seven-year-old girl there."
