USC announced five regulars — safety Kamari Ramsey, receivers Makai Lemon and Ja'Kobi Lane, tight end Lake McRee and linebacker Eric Gentry — will not play in the Dec. 30 Alamo Bowl against Texas Christian. Ja'Kobi Lane declared for the NFL draft. Anthony Lucas and Bishop Fitzgerald are sidelined with injuries and their availability is uncertain, while Kilian O'Connor, Elijah Paige and Jahkeem Stewart are expected to be ready after surgery. Coach Lincoln Riley plans to use the bowl game to provide repetitions for less experienced players while also focusing on building next season's roster after signing the No. 1 recruiting class.
