Feds charge man with distributing child sex abuse material from girlfriend's San Pablo home
"OAKLAND Federal prosecutors have charged a 27-year-old man with distributing child sex abuse material from the San Pablo residence where he lived with his girlfriend and her parents, according to court records. Last Summer, 27-year-old Chadwick Gribble got a surprise when federal authorities showed up to his girlfriend's family's home on Rose Arbor Avenue to seize his electronic devices in a child pornography investigation."
"The criminal complaint says that police started investigating Gribble based on a tip from the chat application Kik. Authorities say they found evidence Gribble was sending child sexual abuse material to another user. On his phone, they found 45 unique files, including two depicting an infant being subjected to sexual violence, Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent Andrew Mundy wrote in court filings."
Federal prosecutors charged 27-year-old Chadwick Gribble with distributing child sexual abuse material from a San Pablo residence. Authorities searched the Rose Arbor Avenue home and seized his electronic devices. The charge carries a 5-to-20-year federal prison term. Investigators opened the probe after a tip via the chat app Kik and allege Gribble sent child sexual abuse material to another user. Agents found 45 unique files on his phone, including two depicting an infant subjected to sexual violence. Homeland Security Agent Andrew Mundy linked the phone to Gribble by identifying selfie-style images. The case was unsealed at his first court appearance; he has not entered a plea.
