Fall River man shot dead by police after shooting 2 officers, DA says

Police responded to Linden Street in Fall River after a 911 call reported a person with a firearm in a vehicle. Three officers approached an SUV and conducted a pat frisk, during which the man allegedly began to violently resist and a physical struggle ensued. The man then allegedly pulled a gun and fired, striking one officer in the elbow and another whose bullet struck his vest in the abdomen area. Officers shot the man; he was transported to a hospital and pronounced dead. A Glock with a switch making it fully automatic was found nearby.
