The five Bay Area airports FlightRadar24 studied were San Francisco International Airport, Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport, San Jose Mineta International Airport, Hayward Executive Airport and Livermore Municipal Airport."
"At SFO, Bay Area local news station KGO-TV caught private jets lined up on the airfield. Oakland was the most popular of the five airports FlightRadar 24 tracked. Compared with the two jets that flew out on Feb. 1, 52 jets left on Sunday, according to FlightRadar24. To accommodate the overflow of private jets, the airport used parts of its north field, the site of several executive terminals, as a parking area."
Super Bowl Sunday produced a dramatic surge in Bay Area private jet activity, with 136 departures between 7 p.m. and 2 a.m., a 1,136% increase from the previous Sunday. Five regional airports experienced the spike: San Francisco International, Oakland San Francisco Bay, San Jose Mineta, Hayward Executive and Livermore Municipal. The FAA expected nearly 5,000 additional takeoffs and landings regionwide and around 600 aircraft parked at 17 local airports. Oakland recorded the highest volume, using north-field areas for overflow parking and logging roughly 1,200 private aircraft departures and arrivals over several days. San Jose had 43 departures, SFO 19, and Livermore 14.
