Attleboro man sentenced after child porn conviction
"Nicholson was sentenced to four to five years in prison, along with five years of supervised probation, prosecutors said."
"In March 2020, Taunton police recovered six files of child pornography that were being shared over a peer-to-peer network."
"Police later discovered 8,600 files of child pornography stored on the devices, prosecutors said."
""The defendant has demonstrated that he has a disturbed and disordered mind by disseminating hundreds of nude photos of children. The sentence is warranted," Quinn said."
Mark Nicholson, 62, was sentenced to four to five years in prison after being convicted of possessing and distributing child pornography. A jury found him guilty of three counts of possession and one count of distribution. In March 2020, police discovered six files being shared over a peer-to-peer network, leading to an investigation that traced back to Nicholson. A search of his home revealed 8,600 files of child pornography on his computer and hard drives. He was the sole user of the computer, which was not password protected.
