A car reported stolen from Long Island was located in Southeast, Putnam County, on Friday after a license plate reader flagged the vehicle. The Putnam County Sheriff's Office received the theft report Friday morning and deputies responded when the flagged vehicle was detected later that day. Four teenagers from Brooklyn were inside the vehicle and attempted to flee upon officers' arrival, but all four were apprehended. The driver was arrested and charged with two felonies. The vehicle was recovered and the incident remains under the jurisdiction of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.
