A 24-year-old man from Yarmouth Port was killed in a car crash early Thanksgiving morning. Police responded at 1:13 a.m. to West Yarmouth Road north of Sheffield Road. Two vehicles sustained significant damage. The victim was found in a vehicle off the road near a tree. First responders attempted lifesaving aid and the man was later pronounced dead at Cape Cod Hospital. The victim's name has not been released. The driver of the second vehicle remained at the scene and was taken to Cape Cod Hospital for a medical evaluation. An investigation is ongoing, and police offered condolences to the family. A nearby resident described the victim as "a really nice kid."
