A 17-year-old girl was found dead on the side of the road near the Contra Costa County Fairgrounds in Antioch, in the area of L Street between West 18th and West 10th streets. Officers responded around 3:30 a.m. and attempted resuscitation but the victim did not survive. Investigators found no evidence of narcotics use and the victim was not registered in the local school district. Investigators noted injuries inconsistent with an accidental fall, though those injuries do not definitively indicate homicide. Authorities request anyone with information to contact Det.
