Greyson Ferguson moved to Argentina in 2022 to alleviate financial burdens from student loans and benefit from a lower cost of living. Initially, his decision was successful as he managed to pay down his debts. However, he later encountered social isolation and depression, which deteriorated his mental health. After facing rising living costs post-2023 elections in Argentina, Ferguson decided to relocate to Albania, believing it may provide the necessary improvements in both his financial situation and mental well-being.

I graduated from college on the heels of 2008's Great Recession. It seemed like nobody was hiring. I built a career writing for travel magazines to keep up with student loan payments.
