"Siddall was a clear favourite to join the broadcast booth after hearing of Martinez's retirement, given his familiarity with the organization and his stand-in duties. The Ontario product has received strong reviews for his work on Blue Jays Central, who will now be looking for another analyst alongside Joseph and Jaime Campbell on the program."
"Blue Jays fans are no strangers to the Windsor, Ont. product, who has been a familiar face in the organization since 2014. He worked alongside Jerry Howarth in the radio booth for four seasons before sliding over into the television side, joining Blue Jays Central, where he provides additional insight and commentary on Jays games."
Joe Siddall, a former catcher and Sportsnet analyst, will replace Buck Martinez in the Toronto Blue Jays broadcast booth starting in 2026. Siddall will work alongside Dan Shulman as the play-by-play commentator. The Windsor, Ontario native has been associated with the organization since 2014, initially working in the radio booth with Jerry Howarth for four seasons before transitioning to television with Blue Jays Central. Since 2023, Siddall has filled in for Martinez during his absences, making him a natural choice for the permanent role. Caleb Joseph will provide backup coverage for games when Shulman and Siddall are unavailable. Hazel Mae will return as sideline reporter, while Ben Shulman and Chris Leroux are expected to continue in the radio booth.
