Google is testing replacing the definitions box in search results with AI Overviews. The test has been ongoing for some time and was posted on Reddit a couple of months ago. The change can be replicated by users and appears on desktop search. Side-by-side comparisons show the AI Overview presentation alongside the normal definition box. The AI Overview provides an AI-generated summary in place of the traditional definition panel. The occurrence was spotted on Tech Issues Today via @glenngabe.
