"The next era of creativity is being written right now - shaped by AI, by new workflows and by entirely new forms of expression. Adobe has never waited for the future to arrive. We've anticipated it. We've built it. And we've led it. What gives me the greatest confidence isn't just our technology - it's our people."
"Adobe has grown from about 3,000 employees to more than 30,000, while its financial performance has leapt, revenue skyrocketing from less than $1 billion to more than $25 billion."
Shantanu Narayen, Adobe's CEO for 18 years, announced his plan to step down once the board appoints a successor. During his tenure, he transformed Adobe into a major software-as-a-service provider, shifting flagship products like Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere to subscription-based Creative Cloud. Under his leadership, Adobe expanded from 3,000 to over 30,000 employees and grew revenue from under $1 billion to more than $25 billion. Narayen will transition to board chair after leaving the CEO position. In his departure memo, he emphasized Adobe's history of anticipating future trends and highlighted artificial intelligence as the next era shaping creativity and expression.
