About 30 people, many in their 20s, gathered outside the immigration court at 630 Sansome St. at about 2 p.m. for a rally organized by Dare to Struggle. Protesters chanted and attempted to enter the building; one entrance was locked so they walked to another. Private Allied Universal security guards and Department of Homeland Security agents stood inside the courtroom doors and pushed back several protesters. A federal agent seized one person on the sidewalk and took her inside; organizer Sunjay followed and both were corralled. Two protesters were detained and two others were struck by apparent pepper spray as the crowd continued trying to enter.
