"Garrett Colley, San Ramon Valley soccer: Colley scored two goals in SRV's 5-2 win over Dougherty Valley. SRV began this week 14-3-5. Mrinal Dwivedi, Lynbrook basketball: Dwivedi had a game-high 17 points to lead Lynbrook past Fremont-Sunnyvale in a 55-31 win. Lynbrook finished the week with a 16-5 record. Diego Hernandez, James Logan soccer: Hernandez scored a goal and had two assists to lead Logan to a 6-0 win over Mission San Jose."
"Cameron Hood, Acalanes basketball: Hood scored 16 points as Acalanes cruised past Concord in a 67-36 win. Acalanes is 15-10. Luke Hunter, Woodside soccer: Hunter scored a goal in Woodside's 2-1 win over Sequoia. Woodside is 9-3-3. Anton Lahtiranta, St. Francis soccer: Lahtiranta had six saves and allowed just one goal in St. Francis' 7-1 win over Archbishop Riordan. St. Francis is 12-3-2."
Weekly Athlete of the Week nominees are presented for performances from Feb. 2–7 with public voting open through 5 p.m. Wednesday. Votes may be cast repeatedly but automated or artificial methods are prohibited; email votes and votes after the deadline are not counted. Winners are announced each Friday online and in the Mercury News and East Bay Times sports sections. Nominations for future polls are accepted at highschools@bayareanewsgroup.com until 11 a.m. each Monday and statistics submitted by coaches or team statisticians are reviewed. Nominees include standout high school soccer and basketball performers with listed game achievements and team records.
