Tottenham appoint Igor Tudor as new head coach
"It is an honour to join this club at an important moment. I understand the responsibility I have been handed and my focus is clear. To bring greater consistency to our performances and compete with conviction in every match. There is strong quality in this playing squad, and my job is to organise it, energise it and improve our results quickly."
"Igor brings clarity, intensity and experience of stepping into challenging moments and producing impact. Our objective is straightforward -- to stabilise performances, maximise the quality within the squad and compete strongly in the Premier League and Champions League."
"his mandate is straightforward -- bring organisation, intensity and competitive edge to the squad at a decisive stage of the campaign."
Igor Tudor has been appointed Tottenham Hotspur interim head coach until the end of the season after Thomas Frank was sacked. Tottenham sit five points above the relegation zone following two wins in 17 Premier League games. Tudor’s first match in charge is the north London derby against Arsenal on Feb. 22. The club’s mandate is to bring organisation, intensity and competitive edge at a decisive stage of the campaign. Tudor aims to organise, energise and bring greater consistency to performances while the sporting director expects stabilised displays and maximised squad quality in both the Premier League and Champions League. Tudor has managed Lazio, Marseille and Galatasaray and has not stayed more than two years at a single club.
