"Bayern Munich will need every man available when they travel north to Dortmund next weekend for one of their most important league games of the season. After Bayern's 3-2 win over Eintracht Frankfurt, sporting director Max Eberl provided a hopeful update, which was reported by Abendzeitung's Maximilian Koch (and captured by @iMiaSanMia. According to him, it is "not ruled out" that the currently sidelined Manuel Neuer and Konrad Laimer could return to the squad next week."
"This would be surprising if true, as Neuer was initially ruled out for at least three weeks following a calf injury he sustained against Werder Bremen last weekend. Meanwhile, Laimer was officially left out of the Frankfurt game due to "workload management" as reported by the club, but other reports suggest that he too has fallen victim to a calf injury."
It is not ruled out that Manuel Neuer and Konrad Laimer could return to the squad next week for the Dortmund match. Neuer suffered a calf injury against Werder Bremen and was initially ruled out for at least three weeks. Laimer missed the Frankfurt game officially for workload management, but other reports indicate a calf issue. Alphonso Davies remains sidelined. Laimer's return would ease pressure on Bayern's thin roster of full-backs. Jonas Urbig has performed reliably as Neuer's deputy, allowing a cautious recovery timeline for the goalkeeper.
