KSI sits and celebrates with Andy Carroll during first game as Dagenham & Redbridge part-owner | Goal.com US
"I've been watching Dagenham for months on my YouTube livestream. There's been lots of up, lots of downs and lots of frustrating moments. But to be here, being to smell the pitch, see the fans, see the excitement and feel the buzz in the air. It just feels fantastic. I've always wanted a football club, ever since I was young playing FIFA and football manager."
KSI, the 32-year-old YouTube sensation and real name Olajide Olatunji, officially transitioned into football club ownership by becoming a co-owner and strategic partner of Dagenham & Redbridge. He attended his first match in an official capacity as the club defeated National League South leaders Dorking Wanderers 1-0, with Aradmide Oteh scoring the winning goal in the second half. KSI was accompanied by former Liverpool and Newcastle striker Andy Carroll, who currently plays for the Daggers. The influencer received an enthusiastic welcome from fans, completing a lap of the pitch while signing autographs. Club officials rearranged seating to accommodate the new co-owner and Carroll's family. KSI described the experience as fantastic, noting his long-standing desire to own a football club since childhood.
