Goalkeeper Hamer extends contract at QPR
"Ben has had a big impact on the group since his arrival in September,"
"He has an infectious personality and has gelled well with the lads and the staff."
"On the pitch, he's brought his ball-playing qualities and calm presence to the fore, having been involved in some important wins for the team so far this season."
Ben Hamer, 38, has signed a new short-term contract with Queens Park Rangers after joining the club in September as cover for injured Joe Walsh. Hamer made his debut in early November and has played seven times, competing with Paul Nardi for the starting goalkeeper spot. QPR chief executive Christian Nourry praised Hamer’s impact, citing an infectious personality, strong dressing-room rapport, ball-playing qualities and a calm presence. Nourry credited Hamer with contributing to important wins this season. QPR did not disclose the precise duration of the new deal.
