"There are rumours out there. In general, I won't comment on that, no matter if we want to sign or sell a player or get a staff member in or out. I have no interest in commenting either way, Frank said. "He [Johnson] contributed to a very good and important win against Crystal Palace. He trained very well. I fully expect him to be available and able to play against Brentford. Brennan is a very important player for us. Sometimes things change if another player comes in. Unfortunately, Kudus came in for him and played on the right side and has done well, so it's been more tricky to get enough starts."
Crystal Palace have reportedly agreed a £35m deal to sign Brennan Johnson from Tottenham, while the winger has not yet decided and has also been linked with Bournemouth. Johnson has started six of 16 Premier League games this season, scoring twice, and has one goal each in the EFL Cup and Champions League. The 24-year-old scored the Europa League final winner in May but has struggled for minutes since Mohammed Kudus' summer signing. Thomas Frank refused to comment on transfer speculation but praised Johnson's training, contributions, and attributes, and expects him to be available for the Brentford match.
