Breaking: Allianz Arena closes Sudkurve for next Champions League match
"As tickets for FC Bayern's home games in the lower tier of the Südkurve are not allocated by block and all 9,336 tickets are valid for blocks 109 to 117, it is technically impossible for the club to cancel only the 4,800 tickets for blocks 111 to 114. For this reason, all tickets for the Südkurve will be cancelled in a first step, and the club will refund the ticket price to the respective purchasers."
"The tickets will be cancelled on Friday. Should the tickets for blocks 109 to 110 and 115 to 117 go back on sale at a later date, FC Bayern will provide timely and specific information about the further procedure and organisational details. In other words, the ultras can't come in and watch and that section will instead be open to other fans."
Ultras in Bayern Munich's Südkurve used pyro at the Allianz Arena during the Champions League match against Sporting Club, prompting a UEFA Disciplinary Committee fine of €50,000 and closure of blocks 111 to 114 for the next home game against Union Saint-Gilloise. Lower-tier Südkurve tickets cover blocks 109–117 without block-specific allocation, so the club cannot cancel only the seats in blocks 111–114 and must cancel all 9,336 Südkurve tickets and refund purchasers. The tickets will be cancelled on Friday. If some blocks return to sale later, the club will announce further procedural and organisational details. The ultras will be unable to attend and that section will instead be available to other fans; opinions differ on whether the ultras' sacrifice will be worthwhile.
