'Big blow' for Bradley to miss play-off - O'Neill
""The training base is in Liverpool, so it is convenient for Conor to drop in and see us,""
""I'll speak to him and have been speaking to him, that's something for closer to the time and for his club to decide if it is right.""
""He will be two or three months into his recovery [so] we'll play it by ear, but it would certainly be nice to have him around if possible.""
""huge blow""
Conor Bradley underwent surgery on a knee injury and will miss the rest of the season, ruling him out of immediate selection. Northern Ireland face Italy in a 26 March semi-final, with a potential final against Wales or Bosnia-Herzegovina for a World Cup spot. Manager Michael O'Neill hopes Bradley can be present with the squad in Liverpool while he recovers, pending club approval, as a motivational presence. O'Neill called the loss a "huge blow" but believes the squad has depth at right-back, naming Trai Hume, Brodie Spencer and Terry Devlin as options.
